VO5 Tousled Style Spray Review.

Lately I've been absolutely loving the Give Me Texture and Plump It Up ranges from VO5.  I came across this product a couple of weeks ago and have been using it ever since.  The VO5 Texture Style Spray claims to tease your locks and enhance your waves, however me not having wavy hair I didn't expect it to do a lot for that.  However after using my Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo and Conditioner, I towel dry my hair, spray this all over, and after drying it my hair is left with mega volume and no frizz which is great.  I would definitely recommend using products from these ranges as for me they are they worthwhile.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Review.

I have noticed so many people using this nail polish that I just had to purchase one.  I'd never actually owned anything by Barry M before so this was my first.  I have been pleasantly surprised by this product as it does exactly what the name suggests.  It is easy to apply, and leaves your nails with so much shine.  Usually the only way I manage to make my nails look like that is by using a top coat, which therefore saves time and effort.  I went with the shade Lychee which is a gorgeous light beige sandy colour which is great if you're looking for a nude nail and for around £3, how can you say no?

Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo & Conditioner.

Lately I've become slightly fed up of using the same hair products over and over again to wash my hair, so I have discovered this wonderful brand.  The brand Philip Kingsley specialise in hair and scalp products for all kinds of hair types.  I have been using the Body Building Shampoo (£15) and Conditioner (£18), and it's safe to say I love it.  My hair has so much volume and stays put all day which is obviously great.  I'm also so tempted to purchase the Elasticizer Pre Shampoo Treatment which Philip Kingsley specifically designed for Audrey Hepburn which is pretty crazy..if it was made for her it has to be a rather amazing product right?

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara Review.

I'm always on the look out for a mascara that's going to impress me enough, that I can say that it is my favourite, and I think I've found the one.  After reading reviews about this mascara, I went into Boots to purchase it to find out it was on offer £7.99 down to £5.99 which was even better.  As the word accelerator is used in the name, it's obvious to say that the mascaras aim is to accelerate your lashes.  I was sceptical at first as there are so many mascaras that promise to give your lashes more volume, however many don't live up to this.  This mascara is by far the best I have used.  My lashes top and bottom are full with extra volume that lasts the whole day.  I definitely will be purchasing this mascara again as it is simply great.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Review.

Hey Everyone!  Lately I have had really dry lips and have been trying every lip balm I have in sight to help them, however nothing being successful.  Whilst shopping the other day I spotted this Burt's Bees lip balm with Beeswax (which is the best thing to heal dry lips), therefore I purchased it.  After using it for one day, yes one day, my lips were practically healed.  The lip balm contains coconut, sunflower and peppermint oil, it is also rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids to soften and condition your lips.  It is only £3.69 and for that price how can you say no.

You can buy the lip balm from the Burt's Bees website and your local Boots, also online.

Bobbi Brown Sample Review.

Hey Everyone!  Whilst restocking on my Bobbi Brown BB Cream, I received these two samples from the new Extra Bright Skincare range.  The two products I received were the Extra Bright Advanced Foaming Cleanser - £24.00 and the Extra Bright Advanced Moisture Lotion - £36.00

I have been using them for the past couple of days and even with just a few uses I've noticed my skin looks more radiant and glowing.  They are really simple to use just like any other cleanser/toner combination.  I wet my face and use just a little of the cleanser all over and it turns into a lovely foam consistency.  After taken it off with a warm cloth, I then use cotton wool and wipe the lotion all over just to get rid of any extra residue left on my face, Voila!  As much as I love these two samples I received I'm going to have to say I'll be sticking to my holy grail of Liz Earle, but you never know I may have a change in the future and purchase these items.

Schwarzkopf Volumizing Styling Powder Review.

If you read my blog you will know that I'm always looking for something to give my hair volume.  At the hairdressers about a year ago the hairdresser recommended to that I should try a volumizing powder, so I did.  However this isn't the first one that I have tried, and to be honest after using a powder before I was pretty unsure whether to purchase this one, but I'm so glad I did and for £2.50 it's a bargain.  I tried it on my hair today and it gave it so much body along with plenty bounce.

How To Use

You use this product by shaking some of the powder onto you palms and rubbing it together.  The powder will disappear, however you will still feel a sticky residue on your hands (I'm not really sure how to describe it).  You then distribute it onto dry hair and voila you have big volumised hair.

It says as a tip on the tub/tube that for extra volume you should shake the powder directly onto your roots, I myself would not recommend doing this.  You are left with your hair feeling like it is in a sticky clump at the top of your head.

Overall I would recommend this product as if you use as directed you are left with bouncy hair.

*I'm so sorry about the quality of my photos lately, I'm using my phone and really need to charge my camera sometime soon!

Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up.

Hey Everyone!  I am one of those people that has gone from having thick eyebrows, to going a bit crazy with the tweezers resulting in really thin brows.  Lately however I have decided to grow my brows in Cara Delevingne style (well maybe not that extreme).

I had been using the Bobbi Brown clear brow shaper for a while now and it was basically just to keep my brows in place, however after seeing the mahogany coloured touch up I thought I would try it.  It's safe to say I love it.  My eyebrows are bolder and have such a great shape to them, the little mascara wand is so easy to use and lets you lightly go over the eyebrows.  I wouldn't recommend pressing really hard to put it on, as your eyebrows will probably end up looking not so natural..

I would definitely advise people to use this product.  Having tried using powder on my brows, they just ended up a mess, therefore I would say this is a great alternative.

Kate Moss Lipstick Review.

I've heard so much about the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks that I just had to pick one up.  I had a look at the colours available and tended to stay away from the light pink colours that I have so many of, so I opted for this deep pink raspberry colour (Shade No:22).  One thing I will say is that these lipsticks are highly pigmented, and my hand is rather stained after that swatch.  However overall I would definitely recommend buying this lipstick as your lips look bold and highly coloured, whilst it lasts a rather long time.

Bumble and Bumble Texture Creme Review.

If you read my Bumble and Bumble Delivery post you will know that I received this product free as I had spent over £30.00 on one order.  I used this product the other day for the first day and safe to say I'm in love.  I have naturally straight hair and find it very difficult to get a natural messy look, however after using this product it seems to be the solution.  I even found myself with wavy hair, which is a first.

Step 1: Wash and towel dry hair
Step 2: Use a small amount of the creme and rub together in your palms
Step 3: Work it through your damp hair and let it sit for a minute
Step 4: Give hair a ruffle and then blow dry, using your hands to give as much texture as possible

I will definately be purchasing the 150ml tube

Soap & Glory Review.

Hey Everyone, so yesterday I went shopping!  I went into Boots to purchase some things as I  had a couple of points coupons to use up.  Aswell as that I wanted to purchase some Soap & Glory products and these are the 3 things I decided on after standing there for about 15 minutes deliberating over what to buy in the 3 for 2 offer.

First I chose the Sugar Crush Body Wash (500ml).  I had seen this product in some youtube videos and blogs, so thought why not give it a try.  I used it this morning and after using it for the first time, it's safe to say I love it.  The smell of lime is lovely, but not too over powering and it is such a fresh smell, it is great for a refreshing shower.  It also leaves your skin feeling  soft and smooth.  I would definitely recommend this product.

Next I decided to buy the Hand Food (125ml).  The smell of this product is great, with the combination of Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow.  It is clear by the ingredients that this product is going to make your hands feel super soft and this is right.  With the non greasy formula, this hand cream makes your hands feel super smooth.

Finally I decided to purchase the Girligo Body Moisturising Mist (250ml), which is basically a spray on moisturiser.  It obviously isn't a heavy duty moisturiser, but it definitely does it's job.  My skin is left soft and smooth,  with an amazing light scent to top it all off.

I haven't had the full effect of these products yet, however I thought I would review my thoughts about them (After all first Impressions do count!)

Benefit They're Real Mascara Review.

Hey Everyone!  I'm going to review the Benefit They're Real Mascara.  I don't actually own any products from Benefit, however I had read on a few blogs and watched a few youtube videos that contained this mascara.  I went on Feel Unique for a browse and noticed it was the no1 best selling eye product on their website, therefore I definitely had to give it a try.  Whenever you see percentages on a product, you always get a bit sceptical as to whether or not they are there just to entice people to purchase the product or if it is genuinely that amazing!

First of all I'm gonna say that my eyelashes are not the best, I wish they were long and curled, however they're not (Boo!).  I tried this mascara, not being convinced that it would actually do all that it said on the packaging.  I put it on and to be honest I didn't really notice a difference, the more I put on to get the effect the more it clumped.  I then used my eyelash curlers to give them some curl, however that just clumped it worse.  From the reviews I've read everyone seems to think it is amazing, and I can agree a little as it has made my eyes stand out a bit more.  I'm just going to blame my eyelashes, for this product not appearing to be that amazing, however on others it might be great.  Overall i'm not bowled over by this product and for being that expensive, I would have been expecting something special.

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment Plus Review.

This is just a quick review on the Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment Plus.  My mum bought an Ojon gift set and received a mini tub (however that was the original, which does have quite a strong smell) and lately I've found myself borrowing it.  I've been loving it so much I just had to go out and purchase a 100ml tub, I bought the Plus version which not having used it yet, as far as I can see the only plus being that the smell isn't so overpowering.

The product deeply treats and restores damaged hair, leaving it vibrant and manageable.  I used the original mask a couple of days ago, and my hair is still silky soft.  In my last blog post you will see the shampoo and conditioner that I use everyday, which goes along greatly with this hair mask when used once or twice a week.

Recommended For

Hair that is lifeless, dull, brittle,  frizzy, flyaway or unmanageable hair.

How To Use
  • Scoop 1 to 1½ teaspoon into palm of hand.
  • Warm by rubbing between hands until it transforms into a nourishing oil.
  • Distribute evenly throughout hair and scalp.
  • Repeat steps 1- 3 until hair is fully saturated.
  • Comb through and allow to penetrate for 20 minutes before rinsing and shampooing.
Overall even though this product is on the expensive side at £32.50, I would definitely recommend buying it.  As you are only using a small amount of the product each time, I expect it to last a while.

Liz Earle Review.

Hey everyone!  I'm gonna begin by saying this is the best Cleanser and Toner ever invented.  Not that I have tried every one in existence, but it's safe to say this is definitely up there with the best.

I use this product morning and night everyday.  The Cleanse & Polish involves two stages, first of all you cleanse your face where it removes all traces of face and eye make up.  Stage two is the polishing which involves using the muslin cloth, that comes with certain sets or they can be bought separately.  This is used to polish off the cleanser leaving you with soft, radiant skin.

Pure Muslin Cloths

I then use the Skin tonic with a cotton wool pad all over my face to revitalise my skin leaving it soft and bright.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic (200ml pictured)

I have used Liz Earle for about two years now and I hardly ever get breakouts and even if I do get the odd batch of spots on my face using this morning and night makes them totally disappear.  This is just my opinion on these Liz Earle products and I'm not saying they will work for everyone, but I personally think they are great.

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner Review.

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner

Hey!  I thought I would do a review on the Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner.  I'm not usually one for wearing pencil/liquid eyeliner as I feel like I don't really suit it, however lately I have began to wear it.  I have an absolute obsession with watching Hauls and make up tutorials on Youtube, and after watching I Covet Thee everyday make up tutorial, I definitely fancied trying out wearing Eyeliner.  In the video this Collection 2000 eye liner was used, therefore I had to purchase it and safe to say it is great.

Being someone who has a fear of doing the eye flicks, this felt tip liner makes them perfect and makes it easy to apply the same style of flick to both eyes.  Another benefit is that it glides on and doesn't make any mess at all (apart from if you rub your eye, forgetting you're wearing it..silly me).

I would 100% recommend this eye liner, and for only £2.99 (bought from ASDA) it's a great cheap addition to your make up collection that will make a big difference to your eyes!

The Body Shop BB Cream.

Hi everyone! As you will know in my everyday make up routine I stated that I use a BB Cream, not a foundation.  I heard that The Body Shop had one and thought why not give it a try.  It's different to a lot of BB Creams as it goes on white, then blends into the colour of your skin tone.  I decided to purchase No:01 which is for lighter skin tones, which I thought would be perfect for me.  This is nothing against the product as I think it's great, but I do think it is quite dark for my skin, as I am quite pale (I blame living in Scotland for my pale skin, some sun would be nice?).  However the colour might be great on someone else!

I would say that it does give a good coverage and is perfect if you're not looking for a heavy foundation like base.

Do you like BB Creams or do you prefer to stick to your favourite foundation?
